Update Cam came out and installed the Stream Labs the water leak detection system. He was incredibly efficient and knowledgeable. Set it up for me and explained how to use it. Will definitely use them again. Update After the Stream Labs unit was installed it detected high water pressure indicating that my pressure release valve was going bad. Cam came out and replaced it. Quick and efficient.

After another company failed to fix a gas leak on a gas cooktop they installed (after coming out 3 separate times to fix it and failing to do so), we called Benjamin Franklin plumbing. Cam was at our house within 2 hours of calling, found the problem in 5 minutes, and was able to fix it right away. Couldn’t have had a better experience.

Had the chance to connect with the owners ahead of their official opening, and they were incredibly friendly, responsive, and helpful. They took the time to answer questions and made a great first impression. If their service is anything like their customer approach, this will be a fantastic addition to the area. To keep your water heater running smoothly in Tamassee, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.
If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your Tamassee home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in Tamassee to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.
We are available 24/7 to take your call for emergencies. Our appointment hours are listed above.
For most homes in Tamassee, scheduling professional drain cleaning once a year helps prevent clogs, odors, and costly backups. If your property has older pipes, large trees nearby, or frequent slow drains, you may need service more often. Regular maintenance keeps your plumbing flowing smoothly and protects your home from unexpected issues.
We work built relationships with several lenders to ensure our customers are able to restore functionality in their homes. Ask your technician about your financing options.
Yes! Upgrading to low-flow toilets, water-saving showerheads, and high-efficiency faucets can significantly reduce water use in your Tamassee home. You can also install smart leak detectors and tankless water heaters for added efficiency. A local plumber can recommend the best options based on your home’s setup and water usage habits.
Older homes in Tamassee often face plumbing issues like corroded or outdated pipes, low water pressure, and frequent leaks. You might also encounter problems with old fixtures, sewer line deterioration, or poor drainage. A professional inspection can help identify hidden issues and recommend upgrades to keep your plumbing system safe and efficient.
To get your plumbing ready for winter in Tamassee, start by insulating exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas like basements and garages. Disconnect outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines, and check your water heater for optimal performance. It’s also smart to know where your main shut-off valve is in case of a frozen pipe emergency.
Signs of a damaged sewer line in your home include frequent drain clogs, foul odors, soggy spots in your yard, and gurgling sounds from your toilets or drains.
