Stephenson sits just northeast of Winchester in Frederick County, an area where established rural properties meet the new subdivisions spreading out from the city along the Route 11 and Berryville Pike corridors. That blend of country and growth defines the plumbing we do here, and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® of Winchester serves all of it.
On time, every time, if there's any delay, it's you we pay.
Every Stephenson home has access to our full range of plumbing services. The menu is the same across our entire Winchester and Frederick County service area, and each service links to the national brand page with full details:
Around-the-clock emergency service dispatched for Stephenson homeowners facing burst or frozen pipes, sewer or septic backups, well-pump failures, or no-water situations, day or night, weekends and holidays, with no after-hours fees.
Expert diagnosis and repair of leaks, fixtures, and supply problems, with our plumbers trained to resolve up to 90% of issues on the first visit.
Drain cleaning and hydro jetting with camera inspection to clear recurring clogs and find the real cause.
Water heater repair, replacement, and installation, including tankless systems, the Valley's hard water deposits scale that shortens a heater's life, so sizing and maintenance matter.
Sewer line repair and replacement, trenchless options, and septic service for the county's many septic-connected homes.
Pipe repair and whole-home repiping for aging galvanized and lead-era systems, plus frozen-pipe repair through cold Shenandoah Valley winters.
Non-destructive leak detection and hidden and slab leak repair that pinpoint basement, wall, and buried-line leaks before we cut into anything.
Water softeners and filtration for the limestone-hard water common across the Valley, plus iron and sulfur treatment for homes on private wells.
Well pump repair and replacement and pressure-tank service for the many Frederick County homes on private wells.
Gas line repair, replacement, and installation for ranges, water heaters, generators, and outdoor features.
Sump pump installation and repair, including battery backups and ejector pumps, to keep basements and crawlspaces dry through wet weather and snowmelt.
Faucets, toilets, sinks, and garbage disposals repaired and installed.
Commercial plumbing service for area businesses, restaurants, retail, and multi-family properties.
Stephenson has a direct tie to the area's water system: Frederick Water owns the Ebert Road quarry reservoir here, part of the network of limestone quarries that supplies treated water to the developed county. Homes near the corridor are typically on Frederick Water, while more rural properties draw from private wells. As across the Valley, the water is hard, so softeners and filtration are common requests.
The housing mixes older rural homes, some with aging galvanized pipe, with newer subdivisions of copper and PEX, many now old enough that water heaters are reaching replacement age. Basements over the Valley's soils make sump pumps worthwhile for lower-lying homes, and cold winters bring frozen-pipe risk to exposed and rural runs.
Stephenson's blend of newer subdivisions and rural well homes is squarely our wheelhouse. We handle softeners, water heaters, and sump pumps for the subdivisions, well-pump and treatment service for the country properties, and frozen-pipe response for everyone in winter. Our stocked trucks resolve most jobs in a single visit.

Across Stephenson, the seasonal rhythm is the same: protect exposed pipes and well houses before the first hard freeze, test the sump pump before the wet season, and have an aging water heater inspected before it fails. If hard-water scale is shortening appliance life, a properly sized softener is the Valley's answer.

I highly recommend this company. They were quick and responsive in scheduling my service, and the plumber they sent out was fantastic. Sometimes it’s hard to find a plumber, but search no more. Use them! I certainly will use them again. Most importantly, their prices are very reasonable and competitive.

Outstanding experience! A polite young man Mr. Amado handled a small repair for us, and everything went seamlessly. Scheduling through the call center was quick, communication was stellar, and the pricing and workmanship were top-notch. As someone who has worked in the service industry for a long time, I truly appreciate the commitment to customer service and communication training shown here. The quality of work still needs to stand the test of time, but the overall experience was 10 out of 10. I won't hesitate to use them again!

Daniel was great!! He was very prompt and explained the workings of the new water heater. The company is awesome. Now you could find a cheaper water heater and cheaper labor but I tried one of those water heaters from the big box store and it failed after only 4 years. The ones that Benjamin Franklin sells are MADE IN THE USA instead of a foreign country. Give them a try, you won’t be sorry!

10/10, no doubt about it. Lucas was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. We had an issue with our water heater that left us without hot water or heat this fall. He quickly diagnosed the problems, explained his findings in excellent detail, and got everything fixed. He also went the extra mile in a couple of ways I didn’t expect, which I really appreciated. I’d absolutely recommend Lucas!

We had our water heater repaired and had a new water filter system installed after the technician suggested it. He was friendly and factual. After his visit we had to have another repair man to set the water heater temperature. Now it is working fine.

Christian was a very kind and pleasant young man. He did an exceptional job replacing my kitchen sink faucet and incinerator. He was thorough and helped to get the smell out of our pipes I would recommend him for any job.
Larry Murphy
Our plumber, Jared was efficient and understood our issue quickly! Very respectful of us and property and we highly recommend this company.

A full gas water heater installation -- quick install with courteous service. Jon Hare and Luke Stelly gave excellent advice and were finished with the install in less 3 hours (including purchasing the unit itself)! Thanks!
Tammy Spencer
Luke was awesome! I am so happy that I picked your company to do my repair! I will be using your company again. Thank you for your awesome service! I would highly recommend your company to anyone needing service done at their home!
