Now you could find a cheaper water heater and cheaper labor but I tried one of those water heaters from the big box store and it failed after only 4 years. Yes. Our Greater Tucson team comes up the Catalina Highway to Summerhaven and the surrounding mountain, bringing stocked trucks so we can handle frozen pipes, repairs, and installs despite the remote, high-elevation location.

How do I keep my Mt Lemmon cabin's pipes from freezing?

Insulate exposed pipes and crawlspace lines, add heat cable, seal drafts, and keep some heat on if you can. If the cabin will be empty, the safest step is full winterizing, draining the system so there's no water to freeze. We do all of this.

My cabin sits empty in winter, what should I do?

Have it professionally winterized: shut off and drain the water, protect the water heater, and add freeze protection. We winterize in fall and reopen and pressure-test in spring, and can check on it in between.

Can you help fast if a pipe has already burst?
