Magnolia is a small, historic town just south of Dover in Kent County, a quiet community of tree-lined streets surrounded by farmland and newer development spreading from the capital. That blend of small-town charm and suburban growth gives Magnolia varied plumbing needs, and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® of Dover serves them all.
On time, every time, if there's any delay, it's you we pay.
Every Magnolia home has access to our full range of plumbing services. The menu is the same across our entire central and southern Delaware service area, and each service links to the national brand page with full details:

Well pump repair and replacement and pressure-tank service for the many Kent and Sussex County homes that rely on private wells.
Water softeners, filtration, and treatment, acid neutralizers, iron filters, and softeners for the acidic, iron-heavy, or hard groundwater common across the Delaware coastal plain.
Sewer line repair and replacement and trenchless options, plus drain and waste-line work tailored to the area's many septic-connected homes.
Pipe repair and whole-home repiping for aging and corroded systems, plus frozen-pipe repair through Delaware's cold snaps.
Water service line repair and replacement, locate and replace aging and lead service lines, a focus of current federal lead-pipe rules.
Non-destructive leak detection and slab and hidden leak repair that pinpoint hidden, slab, and buried-line leaks before we cut into anything.
Sump pump installation and repair, including battery backups, to keep basements and crawlspaces dry where the water table runs high near the coast and inland bays.
Outdoor plumbing service for hose bibs, irrigation, and the outdoor showers that are a beach-home staple, plus seasonal winterizing and spring turn-ons for vacation properties.
Faucets, toilets, showers, sinks, and garbage disposals repaired and installed.
Commercial plumbing service for area businesses, restaurants, retail, and multi-family and hospitality properties.
Magnolia blends town water in its core with private wells on the rural properties nearby, so well-pump service and treatment for acidic, iron-heavy groundwater are common alongside everyday repairs. Newer homes spreading south from Dover need water heater and fixture service, while older homes near the historic center may warrant repiping.
Magnolia's lower-lying spots benefit from sump pumps, and Delaware's cold snaps bring frozen-pipe risk to exposed and rural runs. Whether your home draws from a well or town water, we tailor every recommendation to your system and your home.
Magnolia's mix of small-town homes and newer development fits our full-service approach, well and treatment service for rural properties, water heaters and softeners for the newer homes, and repiping for the older ones. Our stocked trucks resolve most jobs on the first visit.

I highly recommend this company. They were quick and responsive in scheduling my service, and the plumber they sent out was fantastic. Sometimes it’s hard to find a plumber, but search no more. Use them! I certainly will use them again. Most importantly, their prices are very reasonable and competitive.

Outstanding experience! A polite young man Mr. Amado handled a small repair for us, and everything went seamlessly. Scheduling through the call center was quick, communication was stellar, and the pricing and workmanship were top-notch. As someone who has worked in the service industry for a long time, I truly appreciate the commitment to customer service and communication training shown here. The quality of work still needs to stand the test of time, but the overall experience was 10 out of 10. I won't hesitate to use them again!

Daniel was great!! He was very prompt and explained the workings of the new water heater. The company is awesome. Now you could find a cheaper water heater and cheaper labor but I tried one of those water heaters from the big box store and it failed after only 4 years. The ones that Benjamin Franklin sells are MADE IN THE USA instead of a foreign country. Give them a try, you won’t be sorry!

10/10, no doubt about it. Lucas was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. We had an issue with our water heater that left us without hot water or heat this fall. He quickly diagnosed the problems, explained his findings in excellent detail, and got everything fixed. He also went the extra mile in a couple of ways I didn’t expect, which I really appreciated. I’d absolutely recommend Lucas!

We had our water heater repaired and had a new water filter system installed after the technician suggested it. He was friendly and factual. After his visit we had to have another repair man to set the water heater temperature. Now it is working fine.

Christian was a very kind and pleasant young man. He did an exceptional job replacing my kitchen sink faucet and incinerator. He was thorough and helped to get the smell out of our pipes I would recommend him for any job.

Our plumber, Jared was efficient and understood our issue quickly! Very respectful of us and property and we highly recommend this company.

A full gas water heater installation -- quick install with courteous service. Jon Hare and Luke Stelly gave excellent advice and were finished with the install in less 3 hours (including purchasing the unit itself)! Thanks!

Luke was awesome! I am so happy that I picked your company to do my repair! I will be using your company again. Thank you for your awesome service! I would highly recommend your company to anyone needing service done at their home!

The guys were personable, have plumbing experience and seemed knowledgeable of the situation.
It depends on location, the core is largely on town water, while nearby rural properties are often on private wells. We service both, including well pumps and treatment.
Often, yes. The groundwater can be hard or iron-heavy; a softener or filter protects your water heater and fixtures. We test and recommend.
If it has a lower-lying basement or crawlspace that gets damp, likely yes, ideally with a battery backup. We assess and recommend.
