Dover draws its public water from the City of Dover's groundwater wells, and as across the coastal plain, that water can be hard or iron-heavy, so softeners and filtration are common upgrades to protect water heaters, fixtures, and appliances. Properties on the city's rural edges often rely on private wells, adding well-pump and treatment service to the mix.
Dover's housing ranges from the historic homes of the downtown and Old Dover districts, where aging galvanized pipe and lead-era service lines may warrant repiping and water-line replacement, to the postwar and newer subdivisions where water heaters and fixtures are the everyday work. Cold snaps bring frozen-pipe risk, lower-lying lots benefit from sump pumps, and the capital's businesses and institutions rely on dependable commercial plumbing.
As the hometown team, we know Dover's neighborhoods, its housing, and its water, and our trucks are a familiar sight across the city. We stock them to handle the water heaters, softeners, drain work, repipes, and well service Dover homes actually need, resolving most visits in a single trip, and we serve the capital's businesses too.

Dover comfort is a four-season effort. Before winter, insulate exposed pipes and protect any well houses against hard freezes. Before the wet season, test your sump pump if you're in a low-lying area. Flush your water heater yearly to clear sediment, and if hard or iron-heavy water is scaling fixtures, a softener or filter is the answer.

I highly recommend this company. They were quick and responsive in scheduling my service, and the plumber they sent out was fantastic. Sometimes it’s hard to find a plumber, but search no more. Use them! I certainly will use them again. Most importantly, their prices are very reasonable and competitive.

Outstanding experience! A polite young man Mr. Amado handled a small repair for us, and everything went seamlessly. Scheduling through the call center was quick, communication was stellar, and the pricing and workmanship were top-notch. As someone who has worked in the service industry for a long time, I truly appreciate the commitment to customer service and communication training shown here. The quality of work still needs to stand the test of time, but the overall experience was 10 out of 10. I won't hesitate to use them again!

Daniel was great!! He was very prompt and explained the workings of the new water heater. The company is awesome. Now you could find a cheaper water heater and cheaper labor but I tried one of those water heaters from the big box store and it failed after only 4 years. The ones that Benjamin Franklin sells are MADE IN THE USA instead of a foreign country. Give them a try, you won’t be sorry!

10/10, no doubt about it. Lucas was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. We had an issue with our water heater that left us without hot water or heat this fall. He quickly diagnosed the problems, explained his findings in excellent detail, and got everything fixed. He also went the extra mile in a couple of ways I didn’t expect, which I really appreciated. I’d absolutely recommend Lucas!

We had our water heater repaired and had a new water filter system installed after the technician suggested it. He was friendly and factual. After his visit we had to have another repair man to set the water heater temperature. Now it is working fine.

Christian was a very kind and pleasant young man. He did an exceptional job replacing my kitchen sink faucet and incinerator. He was thorough and helped to get the smell out of our pipes I would recommend him for any job.

Our plumber, Jared was efficient and understood our issue quickly! Very respectful of us and property and we highly recommend this company.

A full gas water heater installation -- quick install with courteous service. Jon Hare and Luke Stelly gave excellent advice and were finished with the install in less 3 hours (including purchasing the unit itself)! Thanks!

Luke was awesome! I am so happy that I picked your company to do my repair! I will be using your company again. Thank you for your awesome service! I would highly recommend your company to anyone needing service done at their home!

The guys were personable, have plumbing experience and seemed knowledgeable of the situation.
The City of Dover supplies water from municipal groundwater wells; properties on the city's edges may be on private wells. The water can be hard or iron-heavy, so many homeowners add treatment. We test and recommend.
Possibly. Older downtown homes may have galvanized or lead-era pipe and service lines. If you see rusty water, low pressure, or repeated leaks, we inspect and recommend repiping or water-line replacement honestly.
