Cross Junction is a rural community in northern Frederick County, set in the rolling country near Lake Holiday and the Sleepy Creek mountains. It's a place of farms, wooded lots, and lake-area homes, and a setting where private wells, septic, and water management define everyday plumbing. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® of Winchester serves it all.
On time, every time, if there's any delay, it's you we pay.
Every Cross Junction home has access to our full range of plumbing services. The menu is the same across our entire Winchester and Frederick County service area, and each service links to the national brand page with full details:
Around-the-clock emergency service dispatched for Cross Junction homeowners facing burst or frozen pipes, sewer or septic backups, well-pump failures, or no-water situations, day or night, weekends and holidays, with no after-hours fees.
Expert diagnosis and repair of leaks, fixtures, and supply problems, with our plumbers trained to resolve up to 90% of issues on the first visit.
Drain cleaning and hydro jetting with camera inspection to clear recurring clogs and find the real cause.
Water heater repair, replacement, and installation, including tankless systems, the Valley's hard water deposits scale that shortens a heater's life, so sizing and maintenance matter.
Sewer line repair and replacement, trenchless options, and septic service for the county's many septic-connected homes.
Pipe repair and whole-home repiping for aging galvanized and lead-era systems, plus frozen-pipe repair through cold Shenandoah Valley winters.
Non-destructive leak detection and hidden and slab leak repair that pinpoint basement, wall, and buried-line leaks before we cut into anything.
Water softeners and filtration for the limestone-hard water common across the Valley, plus iron and sulfur treatment for homes on private wells.
Well pump repair and replacement and pressure-tank service for the many Frederick County homes on private wells.
Gas line repair, replacement, and installation for ranges, water heaters, generators, and outdoor features.
Sump pump installation and repair, including battery backups and ejector pumps, to keep basements and crawlspaces dry through wet weather and snowmelt.
Faucets, toilets, sinks, and garbage disposals repaired and installed.
Commercial plumbing service for area businesses, restaurants, retail, and multi-family properties.
Most Cross Junction homes rely on private wells and septic systems, though the nearby Lake Holiday community has its own water system. Well water here carries the hardness of limestone groundwater, often with iron and sulfur, so water treatment and well-pump service are core local needs that depend on testing each home's specific water.
The rolling, sometimes lower-lying and wooded terrain makes reliable sump pumps and good drainage important for homes with basements and crawlspaces. Housing ranges from rural farmhouses with aging pipe to newer builds and lake-area homes, and the long exposed runs of country properties are vulnerable to the area's hard winter freezes.
We know the difference between a Cross Junction home on a well and septic and a lake-community home on a shared system. We tailor every recommendation accordingly. We bring real well-and-septic expertise plus full-service capability, with stocked trucks that finish most jobs in one visit.

Rural and lake-area homes reward proactive care. If you're on a well, test periodically and keep treatment maintained; if you're on septic, mind what enters the system. Test your sump pump before the wet season, and before winter protect well houses and the long exposed runs country homes tend to have.

I highly recommend this company. They were quick and responsive in scheduling my service, and the plumber they sent out was fantastic. Sometimes it’s hard to find a plumber, but search no more. Use them! I certainly will use them again. Most importantly, their prices are very reasonable and competitive.

Outstanding experience! A polite young man Mr. Amado handled a small repair for us, and everything went seamlessly. Scheduling through the call center was quick, communication was stellar, and the pricing and workmanship were top-notch. As someone who has worked in the service industry for a long time, I truly appreciate the commitment to customer service and communication training shown here. The quality of work still needs to stand the test of time, but the overall experience was 10 out of 10. I won't hesitate to use them again!

Daniel was great!! He was very prompt and explained the workings of the new water heater. The company is awesome. Now you could find a cheaper water heater and cheaper labor but I tried one of those water heaters from the big box store and it failed after only 4 years. The ones that Benjamin Franklin sells are MADE IN THE USA instead of a foreign country. Give them a try, you won’t be sorry!

10/10, no doubt about it. Lucas was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. We had an issue with our water heater that left us without hot water or heat this fall. He quickly diagnosed the problems, explained his findings in excellent detail, and got everything fixed. He also went the extra mile in a couple of ways I didn’t expect, which I really appreciated. I’d absolutely recommend Lucas!

We had our water heater repaired and had a new water filter system installed after the technician suggested it. He was friendly and factual. After his visit we had to have another repair man to set the water heater temperature. Now it is working fine.

Christian was a very kind and pleasant young man. He did an exceptional job replacing my kitchen sink faucet and incinerator. He was thorough and helped to get the smell out of our pipes I would recommend him for any job.

Our plumber, Jared was efficient and understood our issue quickly! Very respectful of us and property and we highly recommend this company.

A full gas water heater installation -- quick install with courteous service. Jon Hare and Luke Stelly gave excellent advice and were finished with the install in less 3 hours (including purchasing the unit itself)! Thanks!

Luke was awesome! I am so happy that I picked your company to do my repair! I will be using your company again. Thank you for your awesome service! I would highly recommend your company to anyone needing service done at their home!
