The Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway bought land west of Haysville’s Main street in 1892. In 1903 a depot was opened and passenger trains shuttled people to and from Wichita. Notice the spelling of Haysville on the depot. Haysville was often spelled Hayesville thought to be named after 19th president Rutherford B. Hayes.
Haysville’s first school was built in 1876 at a location that may have been near what are now the Water Department facilities. This building was moved to 79th and Seneca where it was eventually replaced by the red brick building in 1919. In 1946 district 57 was consolidated with district 187 to form district 261.

Brent came in and assessed the old water heater leak at bottom of unit not repairable, base area all corroded. Gave replacements options and we signed on the spot for him to install new water heater. He went over whole process and then went to work. Outstanding job. From start on inspection to completion only 2 1/2 hrs. Wore boot slips on boots, rolled out runners on carpet, hauled old heater out and cleaned up then reviewed features on new water heater. A very nice gentleman. Highly recommend Brent and Northern Ben Franklin. Thank you, Alan & Michelle

I’m very happy with the service I received from the phone call to schedule to the work done at my home! On the phone the lady I spoke with very very kind, positive, and helpful. She told me about a special they had and that was indeed the amount I was charged on the day of service. The plumber was kind, professional, and did a great job! I asked my friends for recommendations and one recommended this company. I’m so glad I went with them. I will use them again in the future!

Both Ang and Caesar were friendly and professional. They explained everything to me so that I could make an informed decision. Ceasar made sure that I understood how my new hot water heater worked before he left. I would definitely recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing to everyone. Thank you for the great service.

Got my Brita Tankless RO filter installed by Benjamin Franklin Plumbing fellows today. It’s a great filter! It has dual outlets - one for RO and the other one for Brita Carbon. It’s not like a standard filter in the market, it requires more skills and patience to install. Huge thanks to Kyle and Carlos for handling every challenge that came up and getting it installed perfectly. Now I get to enjoy clean, delicious, and safe water right at home :)
