Frank showed up on time, replaced our hot water heater.... Frank was very professional, up front with everything that needed to be done and the cost... before anything was agreed upon. Frank was very informative on their warranty plans, he made us very comfortable which made it easier to choose the company.. Frank also when finished did an excellent job, from start to finish. I would highly recommend Benjamin Franklin.

7:00 am, Sunday morning. I would have hoped to be getting ready for church, but instead, I'm waiting for a plumber from Benjamin Franklin that I called last night. Our14 year old electric hot water tank in our mobile home has given up the ghost. My wife discovered this last night that water was leaking from the top of the tank. So this morning about 8:00 am, a nice looking young man named Bailey French arrived and looking very professional in his uniform. We immediately showed him the leaking hot water tank. After he evaluated the beast, Bailey explained to my wife and I what was needed to fix this problem and gave us an estimate. Within a couple of hours, Bailey had went to our local Home Depot and returned with a shiny new 40 gallon electric hot water tank. Bailey was such a friendly, knowledgeable and professional plumber! He did an EXCELLENT JOB!! Afterwards, he did a FREE evaluation of our entire plumbing system! We will DEFINITELY call for Bailey at Benjamin Franklin if we have any future plumbing repairs or upgrades. THANK YOU BENJAMIN FRANKLIN AND BAILEY FRENCH!!!

Called due to a leaking toilet, upon looking at the less costly option, which did not stop the leaking, found that the toilet would have to be torn apart to check all the workings. Cost wise, it was better to replace the 24 year old toilet than to put good money into an old toilet. Plumber did not use any pressure to persuade me to any decision, I looked at the options and felt it was better to replace. Plumber was very neat, cleaned the area while he worked, and answered any questions. It was a good experience.

Had a pressure issue with my water well system. Couldn’t get ahold of any local well service companies to come check it out, ended up calling Benjamin Franklin Plumbing hoping they service wells and as it turns out they do. They were able to send out a crew within a few hours to start investigating my system to locate the issue. Unfortunately, there ended up being multiple issues that needed addressed, multiple components of my well system needed to be dug up and replaced. However, Larry and Bailey were nothing but respectful, professional, and very knowledgeable throughout the entire process. They answered every question I had and were pleasant guys to spend a few days with as we worked thru fixing all the issues. Would highly recommend these guys and I will definitely call them up again for any future plumbing issues I have.

Trevor and Larry did a phenomenal job at our home today. They were thorough and honest in their work and advice. We would not hesitate to call on them again.

Plumbing FAQs

What routine maintenance should I be doing for my Greensburg water heater?

To keep your water heater running smoothly in Greensburg, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.

How do I know if I need a Greensburg plumber for my home's low water pressure?

If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your Greensburg home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in Greensburg to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.

We work built relationships with several lenders to ensure our customers are able to restore functionality in their homes. Ask your technician about your financing options.

Are there plumbing upgrades that can help conserve water in my Greensburg home?

Yes! Upgrading to low-flow toilets, water-saving showerheads, and high-efficiency faucets can significantly reduce water use in your Greensburg home. You can also install smart leak detectors and tankless water heaters for added efficiency. A local plumber can recommend the best options based on your home’s setup and water usage habits.

What are common plumbing issues in older Greensburg homes?

Older homes in Greensburg often face plumbing issues like corroded or outdated pipes, low water pressure, and frequent leaks. You might also encounter problems with old fixtures, sewer line deterioration, or poor drainage. A professional inspection can help identify hidden issues and recommend upgrades to keep your plumbing system safe and efficient.

What should I do to prepare my plumbing for winter in Greensburg?

To get your plumbing ready for winter in Greensburg, start by insulating exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas like basements and garages. Disconnect outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines, and check your water heater for optimal performance. It’s also smart to know where your main shut-off valve is in case of a frozen pipe emergency.

How can I tell if my sewer line is damaged in Greensburg?

Signs of a damaged sewer line in your PA home include frequent drain clogs, foul odors, soggy spots in your yard, and gurgling sounds from your toilets or drains.
